Semi-frameless vs frameless pool fencing

Semi-frameless fencing uses posts between the glass panels, which keeps the cost down and copes well with sloping ground. Frameless fencing uses spigots fixed into the ground or deck with no posts, for a clean, uninterrupted view of the pool, at a premium. Both use toughened safety glass and both must meet the same safety rules.

Compliance is not optional in SA

South Australian pool-safety rules set the fence height, the gaps under and between panels, and the gate hardware. Gates must be self-closing and self-latching, with the latch at a compliant height out of a child's reach. A pool fence has to pass inspection and be certified, and that certificate is separate from the fencing cost.
